ABOUT IPREVEALED
Network insight, explained with precision.
IPRevealed is an independent technical platform focused on the network and browser signals that online services can observe when a device connects to the internet.
An IP address is only the beginning. Behind it are routing decisions, network operators, DNS resolvers, protocol behavior, browser characteristics and public reputation data.
IPRevealed brings these signals into one structured view, explains what they mean and makes the limits of every conclusion visible.
Our purpose is simple: turn complex network evidence into clear, responsible and practical answers.
A clearer way to understand a connection
Many IP tools stop after displaying an address, an internet service provider and an estimated city. These details can be useful, but they rarely provide enough context to understand a connection.
A meaningful diagnostic should answer more complete questions:
01
Visibility
- What can an online service actually observe?
- Can browser technologies reveal additional network information?
02
Addressing and routing
- Which network is operating and routing the connection?
- Are IPv4 and IPv6 both available?
03
Protocol consistency
- Are the two protocol versions routed consistently?
- Which DNS resolvers are handling requests?
04
Privacy and reputation
- Are there credible signs of VPN, proxy, Tor or hosting infrastructure?
- Does the address appear in relevant public reputation sources?
05
Interpretation and action
- How reliable is each conclusion?
- What, if anything, should the user do next?
IPRevealed is structured around these questions.
Built on IP network engineering experience
IPRevealed is led by an IP network engineer with hands-on experience in IP addressing, routing, VPN connectivity, network services and multi-vendor infrastructure.
This experience includes working with network equipment and technologies from Cisco, Huawei, Nokia and ZTE, along with the practical realities of operating, analyzing and troubleshooting IP connections.
That background directly shapes the way IPRevealed evaluates network signals.
A reliable conclusion cannot depend on a single database field, HTTP header or vendor label. Addressing, routing, DNS behavior, protocol availability and network ownership must be examined together and interpreted in context.
The objective is to apply real IP network engineering principles to public-facing diagnostics, while explaining the results in language that remains useful to both non-specialists and technical professionals.
IPRevealed is vendor-neutral and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE or any other network equipment provider. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

From raw signals to useful answers
Every IPRevealed diagnostic is organized around four stages.
01
Observe
Identify the network and browser signals that are genuinely visible during a connection check.
02
Analyze
Compare those observations with relevant routing, ASN, DNS, protocol and reputation information from documented sources.
03
Explain
Translate the findings into clear language and state the confidence and limitations associated with each conclusion.
04
Guide
Connect relevant findings to a practical explanation or next step, without using fear or false certainty.
The objective is not to display the largest possible number of technical fields. It is to make the important fields understandable.
The principles behind every result
01
Evidence before claims
A conclusion should be supported by observable signals and documented data. When the available evidence is incomplete, the result should say so.
02
Confidence instead of false certainty
IP-based location is approximate. VPN and proxy detection is probabilistic. Reputation databases can disagree or become outdated.
03
Multiple signals, one conclusion
No individual header, network range or database label should determine a sensitive classification by itself. Stronger conclusions require several consistent signals.
04
Clear next steps
A warning without context is rarely useful. When a result deserves attention, IPRevealed explains what it means, what it does not prove and what the user can reasonably do next.
05
Minimal collection
A connection diagnostic should process only the information required to generate the requested result. Standard hosting and security logs may still record information such as an IP address, request path and timestamp.
06
Documented methods
Sources, limitations and data freshness should be visible wherever they materially affect a result. Technical methods should be understandable and open to review.
What IPRevealed examines
Depending on the diagnostic, a connection report may include the following categories of signal.
PUBLIC IP
The public address visible to online services.
IPV4 AND IPV6
Protocol availability and routing consistency.
NETWORK AND ASN
Network operator, ownership and autonomous system context.
DNS EXPOSURE
Resolver infrastructure handling connection requests.
WEBRTC EXPOSURE
Additional network information visible through browser behavior.
VPN, PROXY, TOR AND HOSTING
Infrastructure indicators interpreted with stated confidence.
REPUTATION
Public abuse, spam and network-reputation records.
BROWSER EXPOSURE
Configuration signals that may contribute to identification.
These findings can help users understand privacy exposure, verify a VPN connection, investigate DNS or IPv6 issues and communicate more effectively with technical support.
What the results reveal. What they do not prove.
What results may reveal
- Public network identity, such as the address and its operator.
- An approximate network location, not a precise address.
- Routing and DNS behavior associated with the connection.
- Possible privacy or reputation indicators, shown with their confidence level.
- Information useful for troubleshooting and technical support.
What results do not prove
- An IP address does not reveal a person’s name or exact home address by itself.
- An estimated location is not a precise physical location.
- A VPN or proxy indicator is not absolute proof that a particular service is active.
- A reputation listing does not prove that the current user performed malicious activity.
- A browser signal does not identify a person on its own.
IPRevealed separates observations from interpretations so users can understand the difference.
Independent by design
IPRevealed is built as an independent technical resource.
Its methodology is intended to remain separate from vendor marketing and alarm-based recommendations. A diagnostic conclusion should reflect the available evidence, not the commercial value of a product recommendation.
If commercial relationships are introduced in the future, they should be disclosed clearly and should never determine diagnostic results.
Trust depends on keeping evidence, explanation and promotion separate.
Vendor neutral
Methods are not determined by equipment vendors or service providers.
Evidence led
Diagnostic conclusions follow observable signals and documented data.
Commercial separation
Commercial relationships must never determine diagnostic results.
Built for different levels of experience
IPRevealed is intended for:
Everyday users
Understand what websites and online services can observe.
VPN users
Check whether a connection changed as expected.
Troubleshooters
Investigate DNS, IPv6 or browser-exposure issues.
Developers
Review how applications observe connection behavior.
Network and IT teams
Interpret technical findings in a shared format.
Support teams
Use a clear reference when investigating connectivity problems.
The language is designed to remain accessible to non-specialists while preserving enough context for experienced readers.
Know what the internet sees.
A connection produces more information than an IP address.
IPRevealed brings the important signals together, explains their meaning and makes their limitations clear.
